welcome to

Corbeau's Fiction Node

I'm no programmer, I'm no web designer, I'm lazy and I finished this site at 1:40 AM, so don't expect it to look any better than it does. As long as it serves its purpose, it's fine with me. If you are interested in FEU fiction, you're in the right place. Listed here are many links (all I could find) and a few comments so that you know the background. Have a nice reading. And please let me know if there is a dead link somewhere or, even more important, if you know of any FEU fiction that isn't listed here.

Also, I'm not sure if I'm supposed to ask permission for deep linking a part of someone else's site. If I am, I kindly ask for all the people listed here to forgive me for not asking them, bit it seemed like a lot of mailing that would only postpone the finishing of this page. Therefore, I'm asking permission here and now. Hope nobody gets mad.

A note to all:

The Node IS OUTDATED!

Most of the stuff listed here can now be found at the fiction section of http://wiki.alioth.net which is more user-friendly and can be more easily updated and is more technologically advanced etc.etc. As a result, there are probably many dead links here that are NOT going to be fixed. However, I can brag that this was here years before Alioth.wiki, but now that it's there, this one doesn't really need to exist. Ok, apart from some original stuff hosted here. And major sentimental value. So I'm keeping it as long as circumstances permit.

The Fiction Node proudly presents:

(stuff I like but didn't fit in The Node, or was worth repeating)

    Alioth.net
great site, lots of interesting and educative stuff included - combat academy, bountyhunting guide, the history of the Alliance navy and the omni... er... something... Elite Bulliten Board System

    www.jades.org
galactic maps (when I first saw them, I thought I'd died and gone to heaven), combat tips, equipment lists, ship reviews...

    Sirocco Station elite papermodels
Leaving aside the fact that Sirocco Station is a great site by itself, you should definitely visit and admire the 3D papermodels of Elite and FFE ships. And if you live in a cramped flat like I do, you should definitely fill it with the models in order to prevent movement.

    Camp Jameson's Elite Commander's Directory
Even though Camp Jameson is a filthy piece of Imperial propaganda, it contains an interesting, albeit not very detailed list of Who is Who in the Galaxy (there are some key people missing - not by webmaster's fault). If not really fiction as such, the site is pretty fictionesque.

These are the sites I visited the most. Of course, there are many more great Elite web pages. Many of them are listed in The Node, but if you really feel like surfing, try alioth.net's Links Directory that has more than 50 Elite sites listed.

    SITE NEWS

    2005/01/31
After the initial confusion caused by the fact that I had two different versions of The Node on my hard disc, cleared things up and erased one copy. Hope I erased the right one. And, yes, made a few adjustments and updates: LOTF and VPR's fiction.

Slightly rearranged the main page (this one, in case you haven't noticed) and added Ben Peake's work. More to be expected. Soon. Yes, Ben, soon.
